We are a youth-led public health nonprofit dedicate to raising awareness about mental health, eating disorders, and period poverty. Our mission is to provide education, support, and access to resources for young women everywhere.
Every voice matters
Youth-led change
Open Journal Youth was founded by a group of high school students who recognised that the conversations around mental health, female hygiene, and eating disorders were happening in whispers. We want to change that.
We believe that young women deserve spaces to speak openly, access resources without shame, and build community around shared experiences. That's why we created Open Journal.
To create safe, supportive spaces for young women to discuss, learn, and advocate.
A world where every young woman has access to the information and support she deserves.
Compassion, courage, community, and authentic representation.
Every decision, campaign, and program is shaped by the young women in our team.
Breaking the stigma around mental health in young women — through community conversations, peer support, and connecting students with professional resources.
